MERRY CHRISTMAS MOLO CONSTITUENTS As l take a five days leave of office to celebrate this years Christmas holiday, l wish all Molo constituents a happy festive season through this message of togetherness. As your Member of Parliament, may I offer my warmest wishes for Christmas to every Molo constituents living in Molo constituency, and to all of our constituents living elsewhere in Kenya and abroad, those who assist them, and the communities that have welcomed them where ever they are living today. Christmas is a season of joy and warmth. It is a special time of the year, when so many of us come together with family and friends in a spirit of sharing and celebration. It is a time when we as families and as communities turn our minds to what is really important – family, friendship, neighbourliness and homecoming. At Christmas we have an opportunity to renew our appreciation of the gift of togetherness. The story of Bethlehem, of the homeless Joseph and Mary anticipating the birth of their child, is at the heart of this holiday and it invites us to reflect on how we relate to the stranger, the vulnerable in our midst. At Christmas we are reminded, not only of how a man and a woman had to leave their familiar surroundings and have their child in a strange place, of how they were joined by unknown shepherds and visitors from faraway lands, but most importantly, of the empowering ethic of hospitality. At this special time of the year, we all renew our sense of wonder in recalling the story of the first Christmas in Bethlehem, nearly 2,000 year ago At this time especially, those of us who are fortunate enough to have a joyous Christmas should be mindful of the need to reach out to others who – due to loss, illness or financial circumstances are going through a difficult time. While Molo constituency economy is on the rise, our economic condition does not, on its own, define who we are. We are, for example, a constituency with a network of communities, that are increasingly active in responding to their own, and their society’s, difficulties. We also have the resource of Molo constituents scattered around the world, who support each other, and who value their connection with our homeland. Let’s all reach out with an act of kindness or mercy and ensure a less fortunate constituent can also enjoy the spirit of the season. I particularly commend the philanthropic acts of the touch a life foundation working under Elburgon Youth sacco for touching constituents lives with Christmas supplies. Also commend Mr Ndungu Nyoro for leading a commendable social media fundraising for constituent master Erastus Kinuthia son of Mr. David Migwi Kinuthia who has a kidney condition. Thank you also to all who are extending actions of kindness across the constituency and helping hundreds of constituents feel loved this Christmas season. As we continue our lives together, may I offer our appreciation to all who make that possible. I know that a commitment to the service of our constituents is shared by all those with a public service mission at hand. May I, on behalf of Molo constituents, thank in particular those who are caring for our communities during the holiday season those who maintain essential services during this time police officers, prison officers, Defence Forces, emergency services and medical staff. As Member of Parliament I thank all these public service personnel for their dedicated service to our community and their commitment to serve during this festive period. Lets all keep safe, drive to arrive alive and avoid overindulgence. May I wish all Molo constituents at home and abroad, and those who live and work with them, a very happy and peaceful Christmas full of promise, health and fulfilment. May this Christmas bring our people a bounty of opportunities for flourishing and renewal. May the caring spirit that infuses these precious few days spent in the company of those we love extend to all and well beyond the Christmas holiday, into the year ahead. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL LETS MAKE MOLO GREAT AGAIN
