MESSAGE FROM NACs CMC - AERR FSMEs I would like to take this - TopicsExpress

MESSAGE FROM NACs CMC - AERR FSMEs I would like to take this opportunity to thank, first and foremost, the Sailors out on the deck plate getting the job done around the clock 365 days per year. You are the protectors of our daily liberties and our country is grateful! Second, I would like to thank the Chiefs, and their respective commands, that travel to NETPDTC around the year to ensure that our Sailors are getting the best possible product to make them competitive for advancement. Since I arrived in May of 2012 we have had 736 Chiefs (Fleet Subject Matter Experts) on board to perform the following tasks for their Sailors: - Verify / update the reference library for their rate. - Validate / update the test plan. - Review existing exam bank items and edit / delete as appropriate. - Write new exam items for the question bank. - Develop complete advancement examinations. This is no small task given the allotted time for them to complete these functions and the volume of information to be processed. Chiefs, you have done an outstanding job and your Sailors have benefitted from your labor. When selecting FSMEs, NETPDTC screens all of the packages submitted and makes selections based on a few criteria. NETPDTC desires FSMEs that are diverse in their career history. We seek a panel of FSMEs that will encompass multiple platforms, a history of learning center duties, squadron or TYCOM staff experience, and maintenance / repair experience. We publish the schedule for Advancement Exam Readiness Reviews (AERR) quarterly with a NAVADMIN and a schedule is posted to the Navy Advancement Center page on NKO. Far too often, we have to solicit the learning centers and communities to support the AERRs. Chiefs, it is our duty to ensure that our Sailors are receiving the best support possible from us, in order for them to someday fill our shoes. When submitting a package to be considered for FSME duty at NETPDTC, you have a tremendous opportunity to make a difference for every test taker in your rate! Chiefs, there are thousands of Sailors in our Navy that need your support. The AERR nomination package can be found on the Navy Advancement Center NKO page by clicking on the Advancement Exam Readiness review (AERR) tab. Submit a package and make a difference!
