MESSAGE FROM THE DPW: The storm last night had reportedly produced up to 65 mph winds and 1.7 inches of rain. We had a couple of streets completely blocked by fallen trees and over 30 locations (that we know of so far) with fallen trees or limbs partially blocking streets and/or sidewalks. Our Forestry Crew started working last night when we got the first call and stayed until midnight. We will continue working until all of the locations have been cleaned up. Residents with fallen limbs can call 1-888-877-4996 to schedule a large brush pick-up by Rizzo Environmental Services. Residents must call by 4:00 PM the day prior to their pick-up day. Branches must be less than 4 inches in diameter and should be stacked with the butt ends of the branches facing the same direction. Branches over 4 inches in diameter will need to be removed by a contractor or brought to the DPW on our next Long Monday Drop-Off on Monday, August 11.
