After scooping the Nyanza song of the year award during the Groove Awards gala last Saturday, sonko wa masonko hit maker Christine Atieno was not shy to make a joke at Nairobi Senator Gideon Mbuvi, when he offered her Sh 100,000 for her triumph. “Wewe ni sonko, lakini nasifu sonko wa masonko (you are rich, but I praise the rich of the richest)”she blasted before the huge crowd. Indeed, looking less excited about the cash offer, she said she would go and donate it towards a church project.
