Wonder no more. Its a song about always wanting something else. Its about never being satisfied, and reaching backwards to things that youve lost and towards things that you feel you can never get because of being held back by someone or something -- a force in your way. The reference to the meth addiction is just an extreme example of that condition of doing something extreme in search of something else. I think thats what makes people really relate to Semi-Charmed Life. But the beauty of songs is it can truly mean whatever YOU want it to mean.
