MISSION NEWS 29/09/2013 Greetings, We had some more nice rain yesterday afternoon here in O. Last night the weekend guard brought in a bag of freshly harvested corn for me from his village field. They tend to char grill it here, but I will be boiling and adding salt and butter. I’m scrambling to get everything prepared for the OT and NT survey course for the bible school which starts next week and goes for two weeks. It’s nice that a colleague Pete offered to teach on 25 of the books so that will be a big help. I thought it would be nice to have a sentence with one or two pictures to convey one of the main thoughts of the book, as part of introduction and summary. Need to print off hand-outs, some OT books, homeworks etc. Drawing time lines and maps would be good as well. English course at the ministry centre has begun again (Mon and Thurs nights) and I’ll be sharing the load for one class with a couple of others. Thanks for upholding that, as we look at the gospel of Luke together. Need extra strength to fit this in. The eye problem (conjunctivitis) has finally healed up, a sprained thumb is getting much better (after four weeks), and the tooth which was aching is fine now – the dentist here drilled out a temporary filling (without anaesthetic) and put a permanent filling in. I’d still like to have a few more people giving feedback on Genesis, also final look over Joshua and Judges. Nice to have B looking over 40 of the Psalms and saying how gripped he was by them. RW
