MLA Bijay Kumar Nayak in False Affidavit Row By Express News Service - BALASORE Published: 21st March 2014 07:55 AM Last Updated: 21st March 2014 11:39 AM BJD MLA from Karanjia in Mayurbhnaj district Bijay Kumar Nayak has landed in the soup for allegedly filing false affidavit during the Assembly elections in 2009. He has been accused of submitting his wrong education details in the nomination papers. Sushant Das, a native of Thakurmunda area has filed a petition in the SDJM court in Karanjia seeking legal action against Nayak. The court on Wednesday has directed police to investigate into the matter. In his petition, Das alleged that the MLA had misled people by not mentioning the details of the college where he studied Plus Two. “After studying HSC in Unit-I Boys High School at Bhubaneswar, Nayak has mentioned in the affidavit to have cleared Plus Two from Bhanjakia CP Mahavidyalaya. In reality, he was initially admitted to Karanjia college to study commerce at Plus Two level and left mid-way. Later, he got admitted to Bhanjakia College with the help of a fake certificate,” the petitioner alleged. The MLA, however, rubbished the allegation.
