MOBILE VEHICLE-ACTIVATED SPEED (MVAS) SIGN NOW OPERATIONAL IN BOTTESFORD Many residents have expressed serious concerns for many years about the levels of speeding through our four villages. Unfortunately, we have some of the fastest average speeds in built-up areas throughout Leicestershire. However, as a response to peoples concerns, we have now installed a MVAS sign. This is currently located along Belvoir Road. The sign will record all vehicle speeds as they pass. This will allow us to present data to the respective authorities, in order for further action to be taken; and it will also allow us to alert residents as to when the fastest times of the day actually are. The sign will be moved to locations across our four villages, so we will be able to build up a complete picture of where the true hot-spots are. We know that Belvoir Road, Grantham Road/High Street and throughout Normanton are badly affected. However, there could be others. Thank you everyone for your support.
