MOI TURNS 90-----Everyone who was old enough in the 80s remembers moi for one thing or the other. The primary school going kids of the time remember him for the free milk that was delivered and without fail to every primary school. The politicians remember him for his high handedness, the corruption kingpins remember with nostalgia the era of wheeling and dealing and fast money ------as for me when i think of moi i remember a landrover ride i was given by special branch officers at 3 am in the morning while a student at the uon handcuffed in the back of the landrover with an armed guard from kitui to nairobi to explain to special branch officers at the carpet house in nairobi what i may have known about the 82 coup.
