MON AM WEATHER FORECAST Today: A bright and breezy morning with some sunny spells, especially through the morning. However during the afternoon it will become cloudier but it should remain dry. Highest temperatures expected over western Orkney. Fresh or strong southeasterly winds. Maximum Temperature: 15 Deg C (59 Deg F) Tonight: A rather cloudy night, especially across Shetland where a few spots of drizzle are possible. Some clear spells across Orkney, especially the west. Strong southeasterly winds. Minimum Temperature: 10 Deg C (50 Deg F) Tuesday: Remaining rather cloudy across Shetland with perhaps a little drizzle. Quite a lot of cloud for Orkney too, but some brighter spells possible especially across western parts. Strong southeasterly winds. Maximum Temperature: 14 Deg C (57 Deg F) Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: A bright, breezy and mostly dry day on Wednesday. Thursday looks cloudier and windy with occasionally heavy rain. The rain clearing eastwards on Friday to leave sunny spells and showers. Coastal Waters Forecast for Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney Wind: Southeasterly 5 or 6, occasionally 7 in north. Visibility: Good. Weather: Fair. Sea State: Slight or moderate, becoming rough in far east and around Orkney and caithness. Coastal Waters Forecast for Shetland Isles Wind: Southeast 4 or 5, increasing 6 at times. Visibility: Moderate or good. Weather: Fair. Sea State: Moderate, becoming rough later in west.
