MONDAY AUGUST 11, 2014 CLOSE THE DOORWAY OF FEAR BY FAITH Job 3:25 says “the thing which I fear is come upon me.” Most people find the book of Job quite mysterious... the sudden loss of everything, the sufferings of a good man, the attitude of friends to a friend in need, the philosophical questions that Job asked God and God’s seemingly long silence and the sudden restoration of things lost with much more gained! There is however one key lesson in the book of Job and that is the lesson on fear. Job had a great relationship with God, but he did not trust God for his safety or for the protection of his assets and children! His attitude to worship and certain sacrifices was motivated by the fear of the unknown. Job had a strange relationship with his children and with God. He allowed his children to party for days and then he made sacrifices for their sins after each party. Job walked with God in perfection but he also had GREAT FEAR! A man of Job’s stature should not have had those types of struggles. The core principle I want to extract is that the things we fear have a way of coming to pass. The answer is to deal with fear and never, ever, tolerate it in your life. Declare with your mouth: “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil!” as recorded in Psalms 23:4. Hebrews 13:6 says “So that we may boldly say the lord is my helper, what can man do to me!” Say boldly “The Lord is in the midst of her she shall not fear!” in Psalm 46:5. Also declare “For God has not given me the spirit of fear, but that of love, power and a sound mind!” as recorded in 2 Timothy 1:7 Refuse to fear, embrace faith and close the doorway to evil today, in Jesus mighty name PRAYER:I pray that God will open your eyes to see glorious truths from His word, in the mighty name of Jesus! ONE YEAR BIBLE PLAN: Psalm 90-92; Romans 11:1-21
