MONDAY... I received the coolest fridge message from a young supporter so I wrote to her and told her she can vote for me in 9 years! Thanks Winter! :) I then attended the filming of a story on MP Kelvin Davis, we will let you know when it goes to air. I was sent a couple of pics from people at the PRIME Q&A Centre today! I also stopped in my home town, Moerewa to speak with locals and Council staff about the flood damage and recovery. It was great to see our community working together as they always do and to hear that Council has provided more support than past floods including free septic tank pumps. It is concerning to hear that some homes are still without power and to see that the some whanau are suffering from major flood damage. This is an issue close to me - below is a photo of my Papas home on Otiria road which they are trying to dry out after the flood. Over the next couple of weeks I will work with Councillors to address the recovery support for Northland and preventative measures for the future. Good night everyone! #PrimeForNorthland
