MONDAY,JUNE 9th Joe Mahoney slugged two home runs and Aaron Griffin pitched the win leading the Mound Pounders to a 22-13 win over the Greenway Banshees in Alpine Lager division rescheduled play on Monday evening at Memorial Field. Ryan Murphy added three doubles and Matt Daley chipped in our hits for the (3-4-0) Pounders. *************************************************** Brock Nason slugged four home runs including a grand slam leading the Bag Taggers to a 19-9 win over the Blue Jays in Alpine division rescheduled play on Monday evening at Allison Grounds #1. Winning pitcher Aaron Allaby added four hits for his own cause and Tim Gillis added three hits as the Taggers hand the jays their first loss of the season and climb into a tie for top spot in the division with the Blue Jays with both clubs posting a (6-1-0) mark at the quarter pole. **************************************************** Winning pitcher Ben Applelby hit a pair of home runs including a grand slam home run leading the Promen Schooners to a 13-8 win over the Regulators in Alpine division rescheduled play at Allison Grounds #1. ***************************************************** Trevor Garnett, Dale Good and Wayne Duplisea had four hits apiece and Lawrence Betts pitched the victory leading the Dobson Chargers to a 17-14 win over the Phlyin Phoques in Alpine division rescheduled play at Memorial Field. ******************************************************* Joe Gould pounded a pair of home runs and Jay Coughlan pitched the win leading the Jungle Jays to a 20-19 win over the Water Master Wildcards in Moosehead division action on Monday evening at the Charlie O’Brien Field. Jason McCarthy and Rob Moore added five hits apiece for the (6-0-1) Jays. Eric Heenan, Mike Stewart and Chris Eliason had four hits apiece for the Wildcards while Dan Brewer and losing pitcher Craig Cormier hit long balls for the Wildcards. ******************************************************** Dave Foster went five for five with a home run and pitched the win leading the FCC Schockers to a 19-13 win over the Grove Lounge Misfits in Moosehead division play at the O’Brien Field. Jody Meinhart added two doubles and three singles for the Schockers. ******************************************************* The Ten Pennies slapped 24 hits off V Dodgers pitcher John Hazen in a 14-14 tie with the V Dodgers at the O’Brien Field. The Dodgers were able to knock 23 hits off Pennies starter Jamie Gallant with Hazen leading the way going four for four including a long home run while Ryan Freeze, Matt Ingraham and Peter Tait contributed a double and single each. Adam Goguen paced the Pennies at the dish slapping four singles and Ron Paley added a double and two singles while Kent Fulton chipped in a home run and a single. ****************************************************** On Tuesday evening there are eleven games on the MSPL schedule with three Premium Dry division games at the Charlie O’Brien Field and four Alpine Lager division games at Memorial Field as well as four Clancy’s Amber Ale division rescheduled games at the Harry Stephenson Field. The 9:00 pm game has the (1-3-2) Beer Guys squaring off against the (0-5-1) Renegades. In Alpine division action at Memorial Field beginning at 6:00 pm with the (3-4-0) Mound Pounders and the (3-4-0) Regulators followed at 7:30 pm by the (0-7-0) Phlyin Phoques and the (4-3-0) Promen Schooners. The 9:00 pm game as the (2-5-0) Dobson Chargers hosting the (6-1-0) Bag Taggers followed at 10:30 pm tilt between the (4-3-0) Greenway Banshees and the (6-1-0) Blue Jays. At the Harry Stephenson Field at Forest Hills there are four Clancy’s Amber Ale division rescheduled games beginning at 6:00 when the (2-4-0) Saint John Hitmen take on the (6-0-0) 34’s followed at 7:30 pm by the (3-3-0) Marauders and the (3-3-0) Marrtown Coors Lights.
