MOUNT KIMBIE - "You Took Your Time" Feat. KING KRULE (ONEMAN remix Feat. JEREMIAH JAE) Sounds like: James Blake, Shlohmo, Burial, Jamie xx On “You Took Your Time,” a song from their new album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth, the British post-dubstep duo Mount Kimbie linked up with the young basso warbler King Krule to make a piece of burnt-out weed-talk. And on his remix of the track, the London producer Oneman gets some more guest vocals in there, from the Flying Lotus-affiliated abstract rapper Jeremiah Jae. That’s a lot of cooks for one kitchen, but the remix is a piece of warped, spacey art-rap that reminds me of some of Tricky’s further-out moments. Give it a listen below.
