MOVIE IN THE GROVE: THE GREAT K & A TRAIN ROBBERY Return to those thrilling days of yesteryear as Jefferson County Historical Society and Jefferson County Parks present the classic silent adventure “The Great K & A Train Robbery” on Saturday, July 20 at 8:30 P.M. “The Great K & A Train robbery stars the most popular star of silent Western movies, Tom Mix. He lives up to his reputation with some amazing stunts and feats of horsemanship. The fact that much of the movie was shot in Colorado’s Glenwood Canyon adds to its allure. The movie showing is free and the film will be accompanied live by acclaimed pianist Hank Troy. Silent movies were always accompanied by live music, usually one pianist but with more spectacular movies by a full orchestra. No reservations are required. The movie will be shown outdoors in historic Heritage Grove next to Hiwan Homestead Museum at 4208 S. Timbervale Dr., Evergreen CO 80439. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
