MOVIES 2013/2014 The Oscars are just around the corner It definitely was a brilliant year for the movie industry Without a doubt I’ve surely reviewed plenty of marvellous movies last year and some extraordinary ones so far this year: 1. Mandela: Long walk to freedom: Idris Elba plays Nelson Mandela in a brilliant portrayal of the legendary man himself. 2. American Hustle: Jennifer Lawrence performance was sensational. 3. 12 Years of a Slave: The hard hitting tearful heartwarming blockbuster Chiwetel Ejiofor aka Solomon Northop and supporting actress Lupita Nyongo aka Patsey performance were amazing they were simply breathtaking to watch. 4. The Wolf of Wall Street: One word to describe this movie: ELECTRIFYING! Leonardo DiCaprio is out of this world Ive never seen him with so much energy. You will never look at him the same way again 18+ Only Back to the films which you all adored last year! Films like Alan Partridge aka Alpha Papa many of you came to the Plex for that one alone. Loooooooooooooooool The hard hitting Kick Ass 2 came flying in, Elysium was visually stunning. The teenage girls came to watch their beloved boy band ONE DIRECTION, I can still hear my ears ringing from all the screaming. Loooooooooooooooool “A few fast pace movies drifted to the cinemas across the globe” Fast and Furious 6 and the Formula one movie Rush had customers dashing through the foyer. And of course I can’t forget Filth staring James McAvoy, this movie I reckon had definitely one of the fastest selling tickets record of the year. Another two movies which caught the imagination of the general public was the intense Captain Phillips and the memorising 3D visual effects of Gravity staring the loveable, and very popular Sandra Bullock. Not forgetting the hilarious Bad Grandpa this without a doubt was my most popular review to date. So many movies have graced our cinemas across the globe in this past year which I haven’t mentioned. Loads of Movies indeed Not forgetting the older generation; they battled the cold weather to enjoy the Judi Dench movie blockbuster Philomena. “I’ve never seen so many old people in a screen before” Loooooooooooooooool Bless them With all the excitement I’ve had reviewing movies last year; I’m looking forward to a very entertaining one ahead. I can’t wait Rain or shine you loyal movie lovers sat down on your seats and watch those magical masterpieces which were beamed from the projector. There has been some mind blowing movies and also unfortunately few not too great but nevertheless we watched them together. Loooooooooooooooool I just wonder whos going to be the lucky winners in this years 86th Oscars ceremony which will be televised live around the world Sunday, March 2. Wow with 24 Categories whos going to take the big prices? Fingers crossed for the British actors Christian Bale (American Hustle) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 years a slave) one of them will win the Best Actor category. Bring on the Oscars!
