MR DOPEMU vs DIASPORA : open letter(part 2) Dear sir, I am sure from all the responses to our earlier correspondence, you must have thought i will come out firing with sub machine guns. Lai lai Mr Dopemu, instead i come back to you with prayers and hope for understanding. On behalf of the Diaspora, i pray that we can come home to a Nigeria where my utmost ambition will not be to live in Lekki Phase 1 or that Banana Republic in Ikoyi Lagos nor GRA in Port Harcourt but to be able to live with our people in Agege, Iyana Ipaja,Shomolu, Surulere,Ikorodu, Diobu in PH or Lagos Road in Abakiliki...all we crave for are good roads, health care, NEPA and security...etc . We can live anywhere in Nigeria. I admit our accents might have changed a bit and our childrens sokoto might be having problems with their waists but we are still the same Nigerians that left our Motherland years ago, out of necessity, for economic reasons. Infact, i know you will not believe me, but walahi, i swear and bite on my sweater sleeve in Oguns name that everything that is in Nigeria, we have here ; we have Babalawo, we have Pastor. We have Beer Parlour, we have Obalende suya. We even shout louder than you when we are on the phone. My dear brother, let us work together, so we can drum koroba into those Rondo Rondo people called politicians heads.. They know we Diasporeans are very exposed, contribute the highest cash inflow into the economy after crude oil. That is why for the past last month, the Social Event in London has been An Evening with Ambode..... An Evening with Agbaje .....An Evening with Buhari, Lagbaja and Tèmèdó. Infact, two weeks ago, President Jonathan had An evening with James Ibori at Belmarsh prisons! 😄😄😄..... I know you wont believe that. Anyway, Chief Dopsy, i have to go and drop my brats in school and go to Work but i pray and hope for better days in Nigeria. God bless Nigeria.
