MUAS urges people and clerics to raise its voice against musical concert =>Muthida Ulmai Ahil Sunat (MUAS) Tuesday opposed the Zubin Mehta’s musical concert on the ground that it was New Delhi’s attempt to “legitimize the occupation over Kashmir”. In a statement issued to CNS, MUAS members including Maulana Ghulam Rasool Hami and Maulana Dawoodi has said that “the consistent feature of the Indian state has been its constant endeavor to forcibly control the public, regional and international narrative on Jammu and Kashmir.” The statement reads that it was better for Mehta and Germany to echo its voice against the unmarked graves, enforced disappearances and about the Kashmiri people who are languishing in jails without trial. “We appeal all the clerics and people to stage protest against this event after Friday prayers,” MUAS said.
