MUCH MORE! Romans 5:20 But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more No doubt, we are in of the most polluted generation since the creation of the world; no place to hide from the pollution and perversion of this world, not even in the church. Everywhere is polluted with sinful activities, on the road, on the TV, on the internet, in the music, in the movies, in the magazine, in the school, in the neighborhood, in the church, at workplace, and right in the family; sinful displaying, sinful desires, sinful demands, sinful decisions and total depravity. The worst of it is that, you may be right in the midst of people committing ungodly activities, people you cant avoid. When you are in the midst of people or in the place where sin abounds, you may feel as if you cant survive a holy and righteous living, you may think it will be quite impossible for you to live a consistent godly and holy life in the midst of corrupted, immoral and perverted people. But thank God for the provision of Jesus Christ, He knew one of His loving children would be in midst of people and in a place where there would be more sinful and ungodly influence and pressure, so He has already made provision for that, for His beloved child who would be where sins abound more, and that child is you. Before you gave your life to Jesus, and before you found yourself in that place, Jesus had already made provision of survival for you. Where there is more sinful and ungodly influence and pressure, Jesus has made much more grace available. So, how will you not survive? More sin versus Much more grace! Romans 5:20 But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more So, as a child of God in the midst of more sinful people and places, you have much more grace for you not only to survive godly life but also to shine in the midst of their darkness. That is what the Bible said in Titus 2:11,12, For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. No cause to worry or panic, no cause to fear or reason with the discouragement of Satan, and no reason to compromise or fall, for the grace of God is available for you to deny every form of ungodliness and worldly lust, and also to live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age, not in the past age; in the present age that is where you are present now. And so, how do we access the much more grace available? Its through daily prayer and Bible reading. The grace of God is on a daily basis, you can not get it for a whole month or for the whole week at once. Jesus said, Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:11. You get physical bread or food stuffs for a whole month provided by God, but you can only get the grace of God to survive godly life on daily basis. The grace of yesterday can never sustain you today. That is the reason daily personal morning devotion is important. After you surrender your life to Jesus and start new life in Him, Satan cant make you fall except he first makes your daily devotion falls apart; before you start rising and falling in your Christian life, your daily devotion must first be inconsistent. Spiritual strength and grace come from daily prayer and Bible reading. Before your Christian life can run dry, your prayer life must first run down, before you can go weak spiritually, Satan will first make you get weary in Bible reading and study. When Satan targets to befall a Christian, he will make him so busy or lazy that he will not have time for daily devotion before rushing out of the house in the morning. There is nothing as dangerous in Christian life as irregular prayer life and Bible reading. The day you start to skip your daily morning devotion is the beginning of your end. It is better for you to go out late than for you to go out without the grace of God. Never again allow a day to pass without good time for prayer, at least 30 minutes and Bible reading, at least 2 chapters. That is how you get much more grace to combat more temptations and spiritual war of the day. Hebrews 4:16, Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
