Dear Sir, RE: MUSU’S POSITION ON THE LUGGAGE COLLECTION SUBJECT The above subject refers. As MUSU, we wish to enlighten you on our position over the subject. Much as we understand what is at stake, we strongly disagree with the way you have handled the issue of luggage collection. Our stand point is that students are the legal occupants of the halls of residence until mid-December, 2014 despite the natural calamity that led to the closure. As such, we consider it as an act of trespass and negligence for any one (including management) to enter students’ rooms and move out their luggage. Our concerns cannot be over emphasized. Please refer to the minutes of a meeting held on 10th November, 2014, Minute 7/2014 item 1.0 luggage collection. Further, MUSU wishes to register it’s disappoint over management’s failure to officially inform neither students nor MUSU on the subject. As such, MUSU shall be in no position to defend your acts in case of any queries or loss of property by students since you did not involve us from the onset.
