MURRIETA: Police hunt down attempted burglary suspect BRIAN ROKOS / STAFF WRITER A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempting to burglarize a home and fleeing into the neighborhood on Friday, Nov. 7, Murrieta police said. A resident in the 29700 block of Ski Ranch Street reported about 10:40 a.m. that someone tried to open a sliding rear door. The resident pulled back the drapes and spotted a prowler, a news release said. The man fled toward a large field. Police, assisted by a Riverside County sheriffs helicopter, saw the man jumping over fences on Broken Arrow Way about an hour later and arrested him. Monte Vista Elementary was locked down during the search as a precaution. Miguel Angel Vazquez, of Murrieta, was arrested on suspicion of attempted residential burglary, prowling and resisting arrest.
