MY ASSESSMENT OF THE MAMPRUSIS I have personally, and as an individual, advocated for peace in Bawku publicly and actively since 2011 and i shall continue to do so till im no more. Its a commitment i am prepare to be faithful to the good people of Bawku for the sake of humanity. Ladies and gentlemen, I do not intend to praise the MAMPRUSIS in Bawku but to state what i do know and sincerely believe to be right in my own assessment that, after a deep reflection of my three years consistent advocacy for peace in Bawku, i can say with authority and withiout fear or favor, that from my experience as a peace advocate, in all sincerity and objectivity, there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind, that the MAMPRUSIS in Bawku are peace loving people. The MAMPRUSIS as far as i know from evidence, by their actions and inactions are truly committed to peace and have proven to me beyond all doubts that they always put the interest of Bawku and all those living in Bawku first in everything that they do. Considering the recent unprofessional and potentially dangerous action by the Bawku police to deny the MAMPRUSIS from celebrating their annual Damba festival as Ghanaians living in Bawku and having the CONSTITUTIONAL right as citizens of Ghana to observe their cultural heritage, the MAMPRUSIS, by their a action, have once again proven to the good people of Bawku, all Ghanaians, the Government of Ghana, and the entire world that they are for peace and they look out for the interest of every single person in Bawku. I therefore wish to appeal to the Mamprusis and all the good people of Bawku to continue to stand for peace and never resort to violence act not matter how oppress or insulted they feel. Long live Bawku and May God continue to bless the people of Bawku with peace and understanding.
