.....MY BARBARIC DENTIST APPOINTMENT in Stillwater, MN: A week ago today I went to the dentist to have two crowns put on....seemed pretty simple...NOT! I left there with an ACUTE MUSCLE PULL in my lower back. A day later I was stiff, two days later I couldnt get out of bed without pain. Couldnt walk without assistance...couldnt bend, forward or back without pain, couldnt reach for the floor! Basically I could not move my legs without pain.... Well you get the picture I couldnt work. So how does this happen at the dentist office? Second appointment to fix first set of botched impressions...ME: I want novacocaine...ASSISTANT:could we try without it? SILLY ME: okay Hell proceeded in small squirts of water and very small sprays of air on my open nerve, just enough so I didnt punch her in the face. THIRD APPOINTMENT: Assistant says you will have to ask the dentist about having novocaine....The dentist says No.... we want to be sure to get this right! Oh and by the way one of the temporaries were too long and you will probably need a root canal now! Proceeds to remove temporaries and prep for crown. HERES THE KICKER; When she sprays the nerve for about 10 seconds with air and I go unconscious from the pain....from a flat position... my involuntary system takes my body into flight off the chair about a foot and half... landing with a thud I lay lethargic in the chair. The pain was felt in every nerve of my body...Every nerve in my body went into shock...my whole body shook for nearly an hour after that. Mind you I am on adrenal support for poor adrenal function. I contacted an attorney who says basically if you see a doctor of any kind you know the risks when you go in! Now I face a root canal due to negligence and will have to pay them for their barbaric treatment. Anytime I lay down now I feel my heart beating in my head. THE MORAL OF THE STORY: TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR HEALTH CARE! I could have insisted on novocaine but didnt!
