I HAVE MADE YOU, AND I WILL CARRY YOU, I WILL BEAR AND SAVE YOU. Commentary: God made many great and precious promises to us. Our faith revolves around these promises. They give us hope and peace that everything will be alright as long as we believe and exercise patience for their manifestations. Gods promises are exceedingly great and precious giving us re-assurance as we look into the distant future of our lives. Life is not so vibrant when we enter the old age phase. There is loneliness, abandonment, fewer friends, fear, sometime inadequate finances to take care of changing health, and general support. The thought of these and other life issues steals elderly peoples present joy. Worrying about the future can be demoralizing until God comes in and says I will be the same until your old age, and I will bear you up when you turn gray, I have made you, and I will carry you, I will bear and save you. Suddenly the worry is gone and Gods promise has restored hope and strengthen our trust. The promises from God make their recipients feel invincible to whatever the future may bring because Immanuel! Yeah, when God is with you and vows to continue to be with you, there is absolutely no fear of what tomorrow may bring. He is the God Who keeps His word. He has never failed in any of His promises. God has no history of abandoning His word or promises. If He said it, it is settled forever. Listen, you can now confidently anchor your faith and hope, your expectations and future joy on what He says. But this is not just a promise to the elderly. Its for everyone who believes God and receives His promises. It is a security commitment that your father or mother, your spouse, children or friends cannot give you. It neutralizes every fear that your social welfare and pension system may not be there when you need them the most. This one promise empowers you to greater heights and gives you the security to pursue your destiny without concerns. Who could ask for anything more? Friends, Gods promises are tested and true. We can trust and rely on everyone of them because the One Who made these promises is trustworthy and faithful. Today, read more of Gods promises, claim them, rejoice on what they say concerning you, and be re-assured that He is faithful to perform them at their appointed times. Amen.
