MY HEARTS OBSESSION-...is with hearts. At least today it is. As you know, I have been steadily working in my studio and getting ready for fall shows that will land in November. The last couple of days though have found me floundering around and not really wanting to work. Part of this is due to problems that have arisen and needing them to be dealt with and the other is just plain old exhaustion! Sleep has been an elusive sprite lately and I just wish it would descend on my being and let me rest. These two egg designs you see here were done with the heart theme in mind. I recently bought my smallest heart cutter to date and I LOVE IT! My smallest heart gives me the chance to do more detail that would otherwise be impossible. I would say if there was a cutter that I could get similar to the heart one I have now it would be a star...however, I have looked and not seen that one out there though. The colored heart egg features a heart designed birdhouse. I thinking I may have to look at this and design more miniature birdhouses in the heart motif. It is definitely a different look. The all white egg with the cut hearts and a few small polymer clay hearts was taken from another design I did recently in a goose eggshell. This time though, I did a filigree cut throughout the egg, without any real large openings going into the interior of the shell. Simple but not. Overall, as I said before, I pretty tired. Personally, some of this is due to people just not getting along with people. My son, Ryan, attended a protest at his school today which we approved of. Through my guild, matters have come about where there have been rough waters. I know some of this sounds cryptic, but unfortunately, I really cant go into details. Suffice it to say, I need a margarita shooter, white sands and waves lapping at my feet. Nice dream...but since I cant get this, I will enjoy the two designs I created here...and I hope you will too!
