MY Inspiration for Dia de la Afrodescendia Salvadorena in El Salvador Dear friend and colleague; THE HUMANITIES: It is a pleasure to present to you the source of my inspiration of bringing international awareness about Afro-Salvadoran history to the world. His name is Mr. Kofi Nkrumah and I consider him the “Father of Afro-Cezch History”. Being of Ghanaian descent, Mr. Nkrumah introduced African history / culture to the nation of the Czech Republic, which rarely existed. His institution; Humanitas Afrika, has become an icon in the Czech Republic and internationally. I had the pleasure of visiting him several years ago in Prague. His inspiration has inspired me to create The Dia de la Afro-Salvadorena Festival in El Salvador. El Salvador is similar to the Czech Republic.
