MY RANT: I called the largest church from the denomination that I grew up in and asked about booking the church. I figure I have done everything in life backwords in Gods eyes...kids outta wedlock...livong with my husband before marriage and the ONE thing I could do would be to get married in the church! WRONG. Not only do they require $400 in fees but we have to councel with THEIR pastor or have a pastor THEY approve of. Crazy how someone wants to be blessed by God and be bound by His blessing and political crap gets in the way. Guess no wedding in a church cuz we already paid over $1k for a reception venue dont have the extra $400 for a church. I get charging a minimal fee for electric, water, toiletries and clean up but Thad and I agree...its NOT happening.. maybe I am being unrealistic but I didnt think so.
