MY STORY (experience, strength, and newfound hope) You know a year and a half ago my best friend and #1 brotha Rob White saw i was in a psychological nose dive. I was becoming an emotional mess and manipulated by my then bf. My apartment had been overran by toxic people, i was strung out, suicidal, and deep in clinical depression. A complete mess. So Rob and my other brotha Mike Brown come up in my place and cleared it out by tactical force. They grabbed me and told me i deserved better than that. And told me that i am a gorgeous man. Up until then it had been a very, very long time since anyone had given me a cimplement like that. And it literally was the thing that started this turn around in my life. Sure it took another 6 monhs til the intervention on the drug use. And Ive lost Mike Brown because he just fell off the face of the Earth. Ill miss him dearly. And Rob is back on the inside. Ima miss him too. Since then i reached out to every potential source of help available to me. And that reach bought me to 5 amazing recovery groups here on Facebook, 4 spectacular gay groups here on Facebook, mental health court, Smart recovery, and NA meetings and counseling here in Eau Claire, my family, and mostly MY GOD. Two points here: 1) Complement the people in your life often. Just one complement could literally change the course of thier lives. And that means something. 2) If you are struggling with anything, never ever stop reaching for help. Because that next reach could open the world, ease some pain, unlock doors, or throw out a lifeline for you. Thank you all for being a part of resurrecting the Rickness. You helped save the life of one of Gods hand picked angels. And God, the Holy Spirit, and my saintly mother Dorothy Laverne Kaiser Im surely thank you so much.
