MY TRIP TO THE TEXAS- OKLAHOMA BORDER ON THE BLM TAKING OF LAND I went up to Wichita Falls on Thursday to learn more first hand about the BLM taking of Texas land on the border. I talked with the people and walked the land and river. As Lt Governor I will fight the BLM just as I fought the TSA. We must protect Texas from the Obama administration and any administration from taking our land. To summarize the issue briefly: the Red River changes over decades and the border changes with it. The BLM claims the feds own much of the land in between the two states. They took 140 acres from Tom Henderson (in photo red shirt) many years ago and now want to take about 90,000 acres along 116 miles of the Red River bed from many land owners in Texas. Years ago the Red River flowed on this land and the BLM said this was now federal property. Tommy Henderson lost 140 of his 380 acres to the feds. He had actually bought and paid for that land with a federal loan he paid off and they took it from him. All of this used to be his.
