MYX April 4, 2014, Tacloban City, Day 3 Today God has been great and faithful to the team, giving us a good weather, smiles from the people surrounding us, details that encouraged us to jump start the day. Of course we started it with what matters most our personal devotion with our Lord Jesus and ended with a corporate prayer. The people in charge for the food cooked us breakfast for the day’s challenge. The team went on for mapping and locating campuses that would be our target site on these missions trip in sharing Jesus’ love, while we we’re on our way walking on the streets of the city tagging the streets for us to be familiar with, the team went straight ahead to the City Government Office (which was not planned) where we went to meet the head of the Barangays of Tacloban City Mr. Boy Naputo, and the secretary of Hon. Alfred Romualdez (mayor of Tacloban) for which we’re scheduled for a meeting with the mayor sooner (waiting for the text and call confirmation). During our visit at the Tacloban seat of government it was all the more a motivation for us to be the light and salt the God has called us to be. Pastor Jun’s call of distributing the goods that instead of giving it again to Barangay 54-A (recipient of roofing materials last February by HLM) which just last week were distributed a sack of rice per family told us to give the goods to people “who need it the most,” with the help of Mr. Naputo the team decided to give our for 143 packs of goods to Barangay 88 which was known to be called as the Fishermen Village wherein last November of 2013 the date where the Yoland stricken City of Tacloban that Barangay 88 comprised of 16 Puroks, 11 of them where washed-out by Yolanda leaving behind 5 Puroks that caused lives of almost half of the number of total deaths counted. The distribution is set to be on Monday 2pm. It seems that our day was full of surprises and the team was a lot more excited for what God has prepared for us as we obey. Getting ready for tomorrow’s sharing session, this is it, we need your prayers with us. More from our Lord Jesus, declaring Tacloban for Jesus. Isaiah 51:1-8.
