Madan , Sham interacts with lawyers Section of Lawyers interacted with Member of Parliament, Sh Madan Lal Sharma and other esteemed Ministers of Cabinet. Today 2013 an interactive session was organized at Jammu Club, Jammu by the section of lawyers of the Bar Association, Jammu. The members of the Bar interacted with the Member of Parliament and praised the commendable work of Member of Parliament for the welfare of the lawyers in his constituency. The senior lawyers of the Bar deeply admired the development work of the Member of Parliament and his contribution to Dogri language which has been accomplished by him in his last two successive tenures. The lawyers from the Bar also wished him good luck and support in the coming election on the basis of commendable work done for the Jammu- Poonch constituency. Sh Madan Lal, Hon’ble MP also cherished the role of Bar for the social causes, condemning the Kishtwar incident.The Hon’ble MP requested the Bar to spread the message of secularism and strengthen the nationalist forces of the State. Sh Sharma laid special emphasis and appealed the Advocates to participate actively in politics and strengthen the democratic institutions in the State. Sh Sharma was also very emphatic about the independence of the Judiciary and highlighted the role of lawyers in preserving the independence of Judiciary as envisaged in the Constitution of India. On the occasion Mr Sharma announces thrity lakhs for construction of bar room form his Constituency development fund Sh Sham Lal Sharma and Hon’ble Cabinet Minister also spoke on the occasion and said that the lawyers have very important role in the society to maintain communal harmony among the people. The speakers also appealed to the members of the Bar to come forward with valuable suggestions in regard to the affairs of the departments under their portfolio. They made a fervent appeal to the lawyers to point out the short comings of their departments so that there is no laxity and deficiencies in governance. They further appealed the lawyers to adopt legal and effective measures for eradication of corruption from all spheres of the life. Among the speakers, those who spoke on the occasion are Sh M.K. Bhardwaj, President of the Jammu Bar Association, Sh D.K. Khajuria, Monika Kohli, Sh B.S. Slathia Ex-Bar Presidents and Rohit Bhagat, Advocates. Among others, who were present on the occasion including S/Sh Gagan Basotra, Daljeet Singh Manhas, President, Young Lawyers Association, Ronik Sharma, Anoop Parihar, Anil Sharma, Rajesh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Kanav Raina, Gurdeep Singh, Salil Gupta, Rajneesh Parihar, Rashid Khan, etc. Sh Sachin Gupta, Advocate has anchored the proceedings and vote of thanks was presented by S.
