Maggie, my cat, escaped through the electronic dog door by sneaking out with Chloe, the Yorkie, onto the back porch. Laura Ruth Libson then let the pointers into the main back yard to play (not knowing that my goofy INSIDE cat had escaped). When they cornered the cat Laura, scooped Maggie up, and Maggie bit Laura on the forearm, apparently convinced she was out to be served up as dog chow. Maggie then ran off into the dark. Mags finally wandered home after about an hour. Other than a through washing with soap and water, and Neosporin, how do you treat an animal bite? Her physician dad is anticipating she will need antibiotics, but we would like to avoid that if possible.
