Maines Forest Rangers assisted Park Rangers at Baxter State Park - TopicsExpress

Maines Forest Rangers assisted Park Rangers at Baxter State Park with a helicopter rescue of injured hiker Friday evening. Using the short haul method, they were able to lift the man with a broken ankle to a helispot where he was then loaded into the helicopter. The Rangers then transported the man to the Millinocket Regional Airport to an ambulance from Millinocket Fire and Rescue. We were glad to be able to help.
