Making a Difference: This past week, former Boston Police Superintendent-in-Chief Robert Faherty, who is the current chairman of Cops for Kids with Cancer, presented members of Mass General Hospital’s Pediatric Oncology Department with a donation of $5,000 for all the meaningful work they do in their never-ending efforts to combat one of the world’s deadliest diseases. Said Faherty,We can’t thank these folks enough for the work they do. They are the epitome of true heroes.” In addition to MGH staff, several patients and their families enjoyed a ride around the harbor courtesy of Boston’s Finest. Said one unnamed officer, “This is easily one of the most meaningful things we do. Seeing these kids smile is worth its weight in gold.” To learn more about Cops for Kids with Cancer – please click on the enclosed link: copsforkidswithcancer.org
