Making four changes from the side that held BA to a one all draw last weekend in NPL Group B match, our coach Christy give young Black Africa Warriors goalkeeper from Otjiwarongo,Nico Uiseb his debut start and althou it was a dull 1st half with not much goal scoring chances, the match lived up to its expectations in the 2nd half... It was just a matter of time before Civics could find the back of the net and a handle ball from presistend Civics pressure was all it took as Chester Stanley calmly sent UTD Stars goalkeeper the wrong way and sent Civics in a 1-0 lead. Needing a extra one more goal to progress to the next round Civics young brigade forget to defend and it was a thunderious long range that had young Uiseb hapless in goal as Utd Stars suprisingly equalized. Anchor boy Petit was introduce early in the second half, replacing penalty scorer Chester and from the on, Bethlehem boys midfield start to gel and a fine inter-pass play between Petit and Nico lad to Civics much needed second goal that had coach Christy standing around. It was a fine diving header from Petit which was shortly follwed by out of sort Nico Naribs 30metre screamer to ease the Civics bench nerves and from the on it was all Civics. Penias Nzeve shot was parried away as a corner and from the resulting corner new boy from Black Africa Quinton Kuruseb jumped high to head in Civilians fourt goal and with that result Civics advance as Group B winners with a superior goal difference over BA, afetr both Civics and BA end top with 4 points each. Civics wil next face either African Stars or Eleven Arrows on 28th September on yet to be announced venue and time... Well done bethlehem. "Victory is duty"
