Maliha Tabassum Mahin, one of my loving cousins, a 14 year old brilliant seventh grade student of Monipur High School. I am a fan of her singing talent, as she can sing any song using her beautiful voice. I used to listen to her song whenever I was there in her resident. She is such a kind and generous girl I’ve ever seen. Last time I talked to her in the Hospital, I asked her about her condition? She replied me, Bhaiya I don’t like to stay in hospital, my school is open I want to go school. She does not know root cause yet why she is in Hospital. After a long diagnostic process, doctors ensured that abnormal White Blood Cells are being produced in her body. So the protection systems of her body (immune system) to any infections cannot function properly. This notorious disease is known as Pre Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Blood Cancer); a fatal diseases with very expensive treatment process. At the very beginning of the treatment, we thought that the cost of the treatment will be within our limit. However, after getting complete report from both home and abroad, doctors were concluded that the total treatment package will cost more than 80, 00000 (eighty Lakhs) Bangladeshi Taka. Mahin is being supervised by Professor Salma Afroza in Bone Marrow Transplant unit, Dhaka Medical College Hospital. She is currently subjected to UKALL XII Chemotherapy Protocol that will be followed by bone marrow transplantation. As per doctor concerned Mahin will be cured Insha Allah if she will get proper treatment. Humanity is locked in an old battle with cancer. I believe since she is at her early age, she is more capable to fight this biggest enemy. What she needs is your generous support.
