Mama Rant Time!!! When someone takes a picture with a “rock - TopicsExpress

Mama Rant Time!!! When someone takes a picture with a “rock star” and posts it on Facebook, it can be for several reasons: 1) He/she is a fan and would like to have an image to immortalize the experience. That is really cool! To the average Joe, it is a treasure. True rock stars appreciate their fans and are gracious enough to realize the origins of their bread and butter. 2) He/she is meeting up with fellow “rock stars” or industry professionals, and, as with any gathering of family and friends in this day and age, it is a common practice to photograph and tag one another for their own event albums. 3) The “rock star” wanted the picture taken and sought out the person to do so. Perhaps they had a friendship or a business interest of their own. Almost all photographs are taken and posted with the consent of the subjects. Most of them actually enjoy having their picture taken. That is a part of the lifestyle they sought after in the first place. They obviously were not seeking anonymity. That being said, to the person posting disparaging remarks about how “gay” it is to post pictures with “rock stars”, might I ask WHY you are friends with people who post these pictures if you are so antisocial and/or homophobic? Just un-friend them and stop trolling their pages with your negativity. And should someone ever approach you for a photo op, God forbid, just decline. After all, you MUST be a rock star yourself, right?
