Man 2014 was a year for the books. I was in 2 weddings this year ( Charisma D. Milledge Keisha HymanGifth-Turner .) , traveled to see 2 more of my friends get married ( Keitha Thornton Joseph Addai .) Found out my fathers cancer was terminal and buried my father all in one year. Im not really sure how I feel about this year. I wish I could go back to the beginning of the year when I could hear my fathers voice whether hed be giving me advice, singing, fussing at me (which we used to have ppl laughing at us) or just telling me he loved me. I remember watching Keion Addai & her father dance and I swear it was the most beautiful thing in the world I had seen. I saw a woman who too loves her father dearly. And I knew I wouldnt have that particular moment. Oh but how me & my father have shared several special moments. My niece started middle school this year and Im not sure where the time went. I was able to watch my baby sister graduate from college and words cannot express how encouraged I am by her strength. My sisters and I remained strong and there for one another. You know the devil will try and create tension & separation... Oh but the God we serve helped us carry each other and I love them more and more each day ( Desiree Smith ). God built stronger connections amongst my loved ones & I. I never knew how good of a friend I was until I witnessed the great friends I have that have helped me get thru this year. And that is a debt I could never repay. When the clock struck 12 on jan 1 2014..... I wouldve never imagined the year that was waiting for me. However, it is life and we must accept life on lifes terms (my daddys saying). With all of that.... Tonight... Hug & love on your loved one because you never know what the new year has in store for you. All you can do is pray youre learning with each year and continue this thing called life until God calls us to Glory. God bless you all and in 2015 Pray for one another.
