Man arrested over fake naira notes in Ebonyi The Ebonyi State Police Command said yester-day that it has arrested a man who specializes in printing fake naira notes in the state. The state Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Sylvester Igbo, praised the efforts of the operatives who arrested the man at Okposi in Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state while printing N1000 notes. Igbo alleged that the man who was using the Nigeria currency website; nigeriacurrency to facility his operation was caught doing so at a business centre of one Miss Roseline Emmanuel. “On July 1, 2013 at about 1640hrs, one Eugene Ugochukwu Linus of Court Area, Okposi in Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state was arrested while printing N1000 note as he logged into nigeriacurrency. The arrest was made possible by the computer operator, one Roseline Emmanuel, who raised alarm”, he said. He appealed to members of the public for partnership by providing useful information to enable the police fight crime in the state. Items recovered from the suspect include CD soft ware and memory cards.
