(WHTM) - A Williamstown man faces charges for reportedly choking a 26-year-old woman and assaulting a 3-year-old boy. According to state police, 29-year-old Lance Lucas, Jr. was in a verbal argument with the female victim on Sunday afternoon at around 2 p.m. at a home in the 200 block of East Market Street in Williamstown. Officials said Lucas choked the woman to the point that she felt like she was going to black out. He then picked up the child by the head with both hands and squeezed the boys head while yelling obscenities. State police said that Lucas then drank chemicals in an attempt to harm himself. Officials have not commented on the conditions of the victims.
