Man charged with attempted kidnapping of girl - Busby Police have charged a man after he allegedly attempted to kidnap a teenage girl at Busby earlier this week. About 8.35am on Wednesday 18 June 2014, a 13-year-old girl in school uniform was walking towards school. The girl has told police from Green Valley LAC - NSW Police Force that she saw a man in a white van several times as she made her way towards school. As she was fearful of the man, the girl hid behind a car on Orchard Street and started to run in a westerly direction. Police have been told the man turned the vehicle into a driveway in front of her and shouted at her through the open windows, demanding she get into the car. The girl ran across the road and into Rundle Street. She reported to police that she saw the vehicle once again before making it to school unharmed. Upon arriving at school, the girl immediately informed a teacher, and her relatives and police were contacted. Following inquiries, about 11am yesterday (Friday 20 June 2014), officers attended a home at Busby and arrested a 75-year-old man. He was taken to Green Valley Police Station and charged with attempted kidnapping and stalking/intimidation offences. The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 21 June 2014).
