Man let me tell you a tale about a team that was trailing in game six of the stanley cup final. They had a three game advantage going into this game when, at around 7 minutes to the end of the third period the were down by 1 point. Now you would think they may have only had time for "maybe" 1 more goal which would have forced yet another overtime this is where I come in seeing this play out I knew there was only one option. I packed up my beer and away I went. It is now about 5 minutes to the certain overtime that was surely going to take place when, i reached the steps of my neighbors house. She tired from a long yet very fun weekend answers the door after what I could only assume believing it to be the police. I ask "are you watching the game?" she replies "no" I then state as only a true fan could "put it on. " She then turns on the game. Now I am one of those select group of people who believe in karma working best when you allow it to, to which end it will always work if you allow it. We wait a couple of minutes and then the impossible happens. The moment they are refering to now as "the most unforgetable 17 seconds in stanley cup history". That is a very long time. As I sat there counting down the clock like as if it was new years I look over at my neighbor and think what if i did not come over here and watch the remaining 5 minutes.Then without a moments notice unless, you were counting down like my self the final buzzer 3-2. THEY DID IT. Now people say luck is fake and means nothing to which I say to them "eat shit". Every game I have watched with the neighbor the hawks have won now that is a small hand full. To comeback from a deficit in the third period is hard, and to do it in the stanley cup is unheard of but you know what it happened. I believe without showing up over there we would be headed towards game 7, but i did what i did due to my belief in luck so in otherward thank you sarah marie for opening your door and finishing the season right with us hoisting the cup in victory and to all my fellow fans GO HAWKS!!!!!!! and "you are truly wecome"..................................what did i say at the beginning of te regular season ohh yeah "I smell the cup" congrats now to wait for 2014 lol
