Manamedai malargaludan - (a repost of my comment in an earlier post) Such a very nice composition - the rendition a bit free-styled as it goes on its own with the rhythm for guidance - this must have been made so because it is a girl who is in deep romance with her lover dreaming about her life with him but who is slowly losing herself in his presence - the suppressed excitement that bubbles with expectation & her present ecstasy ... It is a forerunner to the most critical moment of the whole story that is the fulcrum that turns everything - Alas we realise her joy is short lived & she is never going to be this happy ever in life again makes the song very very ironical !!! The composer must have got all this in him to compose such a beauty to bring out the inner mood of a poor naive , dad - fearing homely girl who is just being enticed into courting - even as she is daydreaming he entices her into submission & the inevitable happens .The lyrics too linger on how she considers him with all that she knows - again so innocent - its her small world but soon the bubble will burst !!! Urvasi Saradhas brilliant acting in a shot wherein she shows how ecstatic & aroused she is by just the twitching of the lips in his embrace ...!!! The chromatics style is actually the life of the song - throughout - with a gospel feel (being a christian story helps it more as she is describing the church atmosphere & we see her dreaming of her wedding too ) Makes the song extremely melodious & also very clearly brings out the mood of the actor - her dual minded , intoxicated & dreamy aroused state !!!
