Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti is an all-India registered charitable organization, founded by Shri Satpal Ji Maharaj. He is the son of Paramsant Satgurudev Shri Hans Ji Maharaj, born on 21st September, 1951 at Kankhal in the Holy town of Hardwar. His father’s life was one of selfless service to humanity and of tireless devotion to the ideal of awakening man’s dormant spirituality. Shri Maharaj Ji , by the age of two and half years had started meditation and encouraged others to do likewise. When he was three years old, his father arranged a large procession through the main streets of Delhi in his honor. Thousands of devotees and interested people participated. As being a student of science, Maharaj Ji has a positive approach towards both material and spiritual development. To him, one without the other creates imbalance. His task is to “restore respect for the past, find solutions in the present and devise a proper course of action for the future”. He is trying hard to unite all sections of society under the banner “One Nation, One Flag, One Spirit”. He urges people not to rely on the Government to solve their problems, but to breakthrough their mental barriers and caste prejudices to uproot communal hatred, in order to work together for the sake of society as a whole. Shri Maharaj Ji in his early age of childhood has started Padyatras (Foot-March) for the upliftment of society and for the welfare and protection of neglected and deserted people in the society. BHARAT JAGO PADYATRA OR INDIA AWAKE FOOT-MARCH: This was begun on September 24, 1983 from Badrinath in the Himalayas (elevation 10,000 ft). The 600 km route, covered entirely on foot, included historical places such as Pandukesshwar, Joshimath, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, Devprayag, Rishikesh and Hardwar. In addition to that, he visited 500 villages and met more than 3,00,00 people in the way, talking to them and listening to their grievances. The poor people and needy were given blankets and medicines. The main objective of this foot-march was to inspire the people to realize their inner potential, both in spiritual and social, speaking out against corruption, social injustices and lawlessness. The foot-march ended on 28th October, 1083. JAN JAGARAN PADYATRA OR HUMANITY AWAKE FOOT-MARCH: This was begun on 11th March, 1985 from Gandhi Maidan, Siliguri (West Bengal). It passed through the mountainous areas of Darjeeling and ended at Gangtok (Sikkim). This 250 km foot-march led to renewed spiritual and social awareness among the backward but pious local population. It called upon the Government to recognize and alleviate the various problems endemic to these areas, and to heed the pleas of the local people, who felt grossly neglected by the authorities. It also supported and re-energized the long pending demand of recognition of the Nepali language in the Indian Constitution. JANATA JAGE PADYATRA OR PEOPLE AWAKE FOOT-MARCH started from Bodh Gaya to Patna (Pataliputra), in Bihar with his message-“You all are temples of the Divine Energy”. Gandhi Yatra or Gandhi Foot-March started in October, 1993. The main purpose of this foot-march was to make a deep and friendlier relationship between Hindu and Muslim. The route was 600 km long. He did Sradhanjali Padyatra or Condolence Foot-March for the martyr of the nation in November 2002 in Gujarat from Dandi to Sabarmati within 22 days long for the peace and harmony by spreading the true spiritual message of Mahatma Gandhi. Shri Satpal Ji Maharaj Ji started addressing a great “Sadbhavana Sammelan” at the age of three years. He is extremely practical by nature, he would not accept anything until he could verify it through objective analysis or personal experience. It is his lifelong mission to serve humanity by spiritual awakening among the mass. Sadbhavana Sammelans are held regularly which have interwoven people of all walks and faiths, with an abiding respect for every religious sect. A great “Sadbhavana Sammelan” was held in Salugara (Siliguri) on 31st December, 2014 and 1st January, 2015 by Shri Satpal Ji Maharaj Ji and the Divine family. The central ideology of this Sammelan is to unite the people of all faiths under one banner of humanity. Shri Maharaj Ji always used to say that before being a Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh or any other faith we are human and humanity is the core of all religions. The purpose of this Sadvawana Sammelan is to promote humanity through brotherhood, compassion, peace and harmony all throughout the world. MANAV UTTHAN SEWA SAMITI WELCOMES ALL .
