Manavite Emaad Muzaffer conferred ‘WORLD STUDENT ICON AWARD’ at Auckland, New Zealand In what could be a first of sorts teenager, Gurgaonite has brought laurerls both for his school Manav Rachna International School, family and the country by winning the very prestigious World Student Icon Award. Emaad Muzaffer, the talented student of Manav Rachna International School (MRIS) sector, 46 Gurgaon once again struck gold at the ‘Youth Leadership Congress forum’ as he was conferred with ‘The World Student Icon Award’ held at Auckland, New Zealand on 6th July 2013. This emerging youth leader stands at the first position at this international platform. Hailing from Kashmir and belonging to family of serving IAS officers, this boy genius wants to follow his family tradition though. But, his focus remains of passing his junior college for starters, with able guidance of his faculty. He would be now assigned the Jury role in the Washington edition of the contest, he announced his televised interview for DD Urdu on Wednesday, 21st noon, watched by the nation with apt attention. A total of 1800 delegates across 60 countries participated in the 19th Annual World Leadership Congress for Youth. There were 12 sessions held this year which focused primarily on key economic policies of The United Nations Economic and Social Council. After the semi final task which centered around ‘Renewable Energy and Sustainable Economic Development’ 10 delegates were nominated for ‘The World Student Icon Award’. Emaad representing India was one of them competing against delegates from Brazil, Tokyo, UAE, Sri Lanka, England, Australia, China, South Africa and Turkey. Sweeping through the final and impressing all with his extensive knowledge, extra ordinary effort, sincerity and commitment, Emaad secured the prestigious ‘The World Student Icon Award’. He has also received 24 carat gold biscuit of 10gms, certificate of honour and affiliation with major Youth Convention programs across the globe. Mr. Mark William, CEO and Executive Director, World Leadership Congress, also congratulated the principal of MRIS on this achievement and opined that it brouhght a feeling of accomplishment for the school. That wouldl encourage both MRIS and Emaad to gain greater heights with increasing self-confidence and strength. “Greater avenues have opened for this boy of Grade XI as he has now been appointed as the Chief Judge Youth Business and Entrepreneurship Forum to be held at USA Washington DC in January 2014. He has also received sponsorship letter for the same”, he further added. , Mrs. Dhriti Malhotra, Principal-MRIS Gurgaon vouched by Emaad and declared him to be an outstanding student ever since he joined the school who made the school proud on various occasions. Emaad had earlier also made India and MRIS’s name shining by his accomplishments at Global MUN in Dubai and International Rivers and Lakes Conference in Germany.
