Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur Saturday 18th October 2014 Kick off – 12.45pm Important service information ahead of our home match against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday 18 October, kick off 12:45pm In March last year we began work on the expansion of the Etihad Stadium which will see 6,000 new seats added to the South Stand. The construction work means that your route in to the stadium might be a little bit different, so we ask that all supporters read the information below and arrive early to avoid any delays. Turnstiles open 90-minutes before kick-off and Manchester City advise that you arrive no later than 45-minutes before kick-off to avoid any delays. Below you will find information on: - Before you arrive and travelling to the stadium - Ticket Touts and unauthorised ticket sales - Home supporter access - Visiting supporter access - New Catering Initiatives - Safety Netting Before you arrive and travelling to the stadium Ensure you check the latest travel information; delays are expected at the on-going roadworks at the M67/M60 junction, Denton roundabout so please factor this in to your journey or choose an alternative route. There are also road works around the stadium on Alan Turing Way and Grey Mare Lane so please factor this in to your journey to avoid any delays in entering the stadium in time for kick off. There is a safe, well lit and signposted walking route available from Manchester Piccadilly Station. Signage will direct you along the route. Please follow the City Link signs. It will take approximately 25-minutes to walk to the Etihad Stadium from the city centre. For the safe walking map and further information on the Etihad Campus Metrolink and buses that alight immediately outside the Etihad Stadium, click here. Ticket touts and unauthorised ticket sales Tickets for the matches held at the Etihad Stadium must be purchased direct from Manchester City, through the clubs official ticket exchange partner viagogo or the visiting club only, subject to any qualifying sales criteria. Tickets purchased through other means may not be valid. Manchester City Football Club accepts no liability for tickets purchased through unofficial channels. We are unable to provide you with alternative tickets should you purchase in this manner, regardless of the price paid. You will be referred to the opposing club at such times a fraudulent ticket is presented and we may also refer the details to Greater Manchester Police. Home Supporter Access We advise that any supporters who normally use the affected entrances (see below) arrive and enter the stadium earlier than usual to avoid any delays in getting to your seat. Closed entrances Entrances N1 and M will be closed. All other entrances will be operational. Potential delays Supporters using Entrances B, K1 and N2 experience delays entering the stadium. Different entrances to the Etihad Campus Supporters who usually use Commonwealth Way to approach Entrances N to T (towards the South West corner of the stadium) will be redirected along Ashton New Road. Entrances N2, P, R, S and T will not be accessible by supporters entering the stadium campus from Commonwealth Way. Supporters will be redirected onto Ashton New Road and will re-enter the site at the South end of the stadium opposite Entrance P. Visiting Supporter Access To ensure that all supporters enter the stadium via the correct entrances, we have implemented an additional soft ticket check upon arrival. Click here for a stadium plan that shows the external changes made at the South end of the stadium and the location of the soft ticket check area. - Entrance K2 is for visiting supporters located on Level 1 - Entrance L1 and L2 are for visiting supporters located on Level 2 As a result of these works and the reduced space outside the entrances, it may appear that there are more stewards and police than usual but this is not the case. We will put both additional signage and support staff in place to make sure everyone can access the information they need for easy access and exit. Further information can be found within our Visiting Supporter Guide, here. New Catering Initiatives To help speed up queuing and provide supporters with more payment options, you can now pay for your food and drink using both Chip & Pin and Contactless payment methods. In the first phase of this upgrade, this will be available at the Blue Moon Café, Star Bar, Summerbees Bar and at Level One concessions within Colin Bell Stands adjacent to blocks 122, 123 and 131. These machines will also be available on Level One of the East Stand adjacent to blocks 101-102 and 109-110, as well as on Level One of the visitors section. To reduce queuing at half-time, we will trial beer tokens at certain concessions on Level One of both the Colin Bell Stand and East Stand. Simply buy 4 beer tokens for £15 before the match, and they can be redeemed at half-time at the Token Bars adjacent to block 126 in the Colin Bell Stand and block 105 in the East Stand. Beer tokens are available on Fosters and Strongbow. South Stand Roof As part of the on-going construction work to build the third level of the South Stand, sections of the roof were completely removed, from the corners. To ensure continuity of the roofline around the Stadium, a temporary roof has been constructed over the corner sections which will remain in place for the duration of the construction works. Safety Netting As a result of the works being undertaken at pitch level, the safety netting has been removed from behind the goals at both ends of the stadium. Please ensure that during the player warm up you take extra care and remain vigilant at all times. Food Concessions and Betting Facilities A small number of concessions will not be available in the home sections of the South Stand Level 2 for a short period of time. Concessions affected: - Two food concessions, adjacent to aisle 213 and 218 - Two betting kiosks, adjacent to aisle 211 and 217 Alternative food concessions are available along the concourse, however the betting facility will not be available on this level for the duration of the works. The concourse areas in the South Stand have changed, and will continue to do so as the works progress. If you need any more information on these works, please speak to a steward on the day or contact the Supporter Services Team after the match on 0161 444 1894 (option 1, option 3). WiFi Due to the expansion works, WiFi service in the South Stand may be intermittent at times. Road Closure In addition to the standard post match road closures to assist supporters leaving the stadium campus, supporters who leave the Yellow car park via gate 11 will be unable to turn right into Rowsley Street. The road will remain closed until 6th November whilst bridge maintenance work takes place. We apologise for any inconvenience the stadium expansion works may cause and look forward to welcoming you to the Etihad Stadium for this match.
