Manic shift at the Foodbank today! 48 people supplied with food, 28 of which were children. We gave out over 300 kilos of food with people waiting for us to open up! I ask the question again and again, why do people have their benefits stopped when there is a change in circumstances? What are they expected to live on while "recalculation" takes place? Just seems madness to me! While we are speaking of benefits let me assure you that all this talk of people receiving £350 & £500 a week does not apply to our clients, none of whom receive this sort of money!!
