Manila West bows out of FIBA 3×3 World Tour after quarters loss to Slovenian side InterAksyon · Sunday, October 12, 2014 · 1:07 pm Philippine representative Manila West dropped out of contention in the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final after falling to Slovenian side Kranj, 21-12, on Day 2 of the competition in Sendai, Japan. Manila West, which is comprised of PBA players Terrence Romeo, Aldrech Ramos, KG Canaleta and Rey Guevarra, had a solid showing in the first round, defeating Sao Paulo of Brazil, 21-17, and hanging tough against Bucharest, 15-13. But they could not keep up with the mighty Slovenians in this one, falling behind, 11-6, early in the contest before seeing their deficit grow at the end. Kranj, which won its first two games by an average of 12 points, would not be slowed in this one. Guevarra scored six points, Romeo added four and Canaleta had two in the loss. Romeo advanced to the final of the Samsung Shootout Contest side event, knocking down nine of his ten shots to join three others in the title round. - LA
