Abdelnour ........................ Psalm 53:1 Only fools say in their hearts, There is no God. They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! ....................... The Hebrew words rendered fool in Psalms denote one who is morally deficient. It certainly doesnt depict what we consider as one being a fool or acting foolishly, no it is far worse. Websters Dictionary defines fool as: a person who lacks good sense or judgment : a stupid or silly person. Consider the various ways we define fool in the idioms that we use today. Stop acting like a fool. A fool in love. Children and fools tell the truth. You couldve fooled me. Do you want to fool around? Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. They live in a fools paradise. I am nobodys fool! I heard several years ago that April 1st (April Fools Day) was also the Atheist National Holiday. Because of the various scriptures that say a fool has said in his heart there is no God. Each of us today perhaps will be played a fool or have a foolish prank pulled on us. However let us not ever become as was spoken of in the Psalms, the nā·ḇāl for such a one has turned away from wisdom, righteousness, and godly counsel. .......................... “There is no fool like an old fool.” ― American proverb
