Manny Pacquiao and Brandon Ríos will meet this saturday in the last major fight of the year. The fight is being staged in the gaming mecca of Mancau China. The promotion had been relatively quiet until all hell broke loose yesterday. The chaos began when Freddy Roach took issue with the Rios camp over gym time. The fight is taking place at the Beautiful Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, the hotel assigned specific times that each camp can use the boxing gym to workout. The Rios camp became annoyed when they found out that Manny would be given the gym from 11-4, and brandon would only be given the gym from 9 to 11. Its a ridiculous schedule, and a HUGE advantage for Manny. Why does Pacquaio get THAT much Gym time?? So against that backdrop, the Rios camp is working out yesterday, they go 5 minutes over, 11:05. Freddie storms into the workout and approaches Brandons trainer Robert Garcia. What was actually said is still up for debate, but the video(below) shows Freddie calling him a POS. Robert tells Freddie to dont call me a piece of sh@t. At that point Alex Ariza Fan Page, began to scream at Roach to leave. Ariza was FIRED as Mannys strength and conditioning coach by Roach just a couple weeks earlier. Freddie tells him him to go FU@CK himself. They stat Shouting at each other, Freddie steps to alex, Alex KICKS freddie in the stomach!!!?? The footage is out of this world. Rioss camp begins to scream at Roach, Roach calls them a bunch of Mexican motherf##ckers. The chaos then jumped off. It was all caught on tape. Robert Garcia claims that the reason they went over, is because Brandon had to film a clip for SportsCenter, So we say, OK, were going to go 15, 20 minutes over time [at the gym], [Roach] could have waited. His fighter wasnt even here. He could have been wrapping his hands. I dont care. He just wanted to start a fight. Hes in trouble. Hes nervous.. Freddie Roach told ESPN Our time is at 11 each day,I waited until five past 11 upstairs, and I came down, and Brandon was jumping rope. I waited until he had finished, and I went up to Robert Garcia and said, Our time is at 11. Ariza started making fun of my Parkinsons, and I said, Whats your problem? and he kicked me and ran away.. Freddie may not be telling the whole truth, however, he is afflicted with Parkinsons disease, and a couple of years ago Robert Garcia, Antonio Margarito, and Brandon mocked roaches disease publicly. Some say freddie roach, it is a little ridiculous to have that much more gym time then your opponent, and literally kick him off when he is just 5 min over. Freddie also used a racial slur. Period.
